Christopher A. Martinez

Experience

Christopher Martinez is experienced in a diverse range of condition assessments and failure investigations. His projects include the investigation and repair of structural materials, such as concrete, light-gauge steel, masonry, structural steel, and wood. Mr. Martinez possesses expertise in assessing roofing and various facade systems, including brick, cementitious parge coats, curtain walls, EIFS, glass fiber-reinforced concrete, precast concrete, skylights, storefronts, stucco, terra cotta, and TPO.

Mr. Martinez is also helping to advance WJE’s capabilities related to state-of-the-art technology, including but not limited to artificial intelligence, LiDAR, and photogrammetry. He has professional experience with animation, 3D modeling, basic programming, high-resolution camera and drone photography, point cloud models, and rendering.

• Leamington - Oakland, CA: Condition assessment and development of facade waterproofing repairs for eleven-story concrete structure (2021 ICRI National Award of Excellence Winner)
• Oyster Point Buildings - South San Francisco, CA: Condition assessment and development of waterproofing repairs for two five-story buildings with precast concrete facades
• Phelan Building - San Francisco, CA: Facade inspection in accordance with San Francisco’s Ordinance No. 67-16 using drones, high-resolution camera photography, and industrial rope access; associated terra cotta repairs
