Experience
Stephen Mayhew joined WJE in 2008 with more than a decade of engineering experience focusing on wood structures. Mr. Mayhew has assisted with the inspection, investigation, and analysis of different types of structural failures within existing structures. His experience includes the evaluation of concrete floor slab distress, masonry failures, investigation of wind damage, and structural wood distress and failure analysis.
From 1996 to 2008, Mr. Mayhew was employed by Trus Joist/Weyerhaeuser, where he worked in many different technical capacities supporting engineered wood products, including new product development, materials testing, product code compliance, preparing repair documents, product performance investigations, product and technical literature development, and construction project management. In addition, Mr. Mayhew has presented many seminars on various building code- and wood construction-related topics.
