WJE Participates in National Fall Prevention Safety Stand-Down 2025
OSHA’s annual National Fall Prevention Safety Stand-Down is May 5–9, 2025. This week-long event is dedicated to promoting awareness of falls from height. Falls are consistently the leading cause of construction industry fatalities, accounting for 421 of the 1,075 construction fatalities recorded in 2023 (the most current information available from the Bureau of Labor Statistics). Performing work from height as well as slip, trip, and fall hazards are two of the most frequently encountered serious hazard exposures for us at WJE and, as such, we encourage everyone to dedicate time during the upcoming week to fall hazard awareness.
WJE urges all of our clients and fellow AEC professionals to participate in this event. You can conduct a Safety Stand-Down by providing training, taking training yourself, or by performing any other fall protection safety activity such as conducting safety equipment inspections, developing rescue plans, and discussing job-specific hazards.
